Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will resume livestock imports from Australia after a 13-year ban, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture said in a statement on Monday.
The import process will be subject to a number of conditions, including applying the veterinary quarantine law in GCC countries and its executive bylaw in the kingdom, obtaining a licence to export livestock from the Australian government, in addition to applying health conditions as per the livestock import mechanism approved in Saudi Arabia.
Import permits from Australia will be issued electronically within the coming days, the statement added.
