Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The ordinary general meeting (OGM) of Emirates Telecommunication Group (Etisalat) has approved the distribution of cash dividends, equivalent to 40% of the company's capital for the second half (H2) of 2020.

The total amount of cash dividends for the full year is valued at AED 10.431 billion, representing 120% of the nominal value of the share, according to the company's disclosure to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) on Thursday.

The shareholders set the last entitlement date for the H2-20 cash dividends on 24 March and the payment date on 15 April.

During the meeting, shareholders also approved paying 40% one-time special dividends.

It is noteworthy to mention that in 2020, the company's net profits attributable to the equity holders increased by 3.8% to AED 9.027 billion from AED 8.693 billion in 2019.
