Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, announced plans to increase the number of COVID-19 vaccination centres to accelerate the administration process, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Saturday.

Zayed said that the ministry aims to vaccinate around 250,000 individuals against COVID-19 by the end of this week.

On Saturday, Egypt received a new shipment of 300,000 doses of China’s Sinopharm vaccine.

The country confirmed 644 new COVID-19 cases and 45 new deaths, taking the tally to 194,771 infections and 11,557 deaths.
