Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note with the main EGX30 sliding alone by 1.19% to end at 10,738 points.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 2.39% to 1,952 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 1.54% to 2,900 points.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI advanced by 1.57% to reach 2,021 points.

The market cap value grew by EGP 2.8 billion to stand at EGP 652.57 billion on Monday from EGP 655.37 billion on Sunday.

The market’s turnover registered EGP 1.09 billion after 590.06 million shares were exchanged through about 38,390 transactions.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 39.89 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 36.71 million and EGP 3.17 million, respectively.
