EGX ends Tuesday in green on foreign purchases
The market cap value gained EGP 3 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of foreign purchases.

The main EGX30 index edged up by 0.01% to end the mid-week session at 10,739 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.81% to 1,987 point.

Similarly, the EGX100 EWI rose by 1.37% to 2,940 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI advanced by 1.56% to 2,053 points.

The market cap value gained EGP 3 billion to close at EGP 655.58 billion on Tuesday, compared to EGP 652.57 billion on Monday.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.18 billion after 652.95 million shares were exchanged through about 39,680 transactions.

Local and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 30.5 million and EGP 15.97 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 46.47 million, respectively.
