Arab Contractors wins EUR 93.5m contract to build international road in Chad
The road will be implemented over a period of 36 months

Cairo – Mubasher: The Arab Contractors has been awarded a EUR 93.5 million contract to build Abeche-Abouglem road in Chad, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported on Tuesday.

The project, awarded by the Chadian Ministry of Infrastructure, is financed by the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), the company's Chairman, Sayed Farouk, said.

It is part of the international road connecting between the Chadian capital, N’Djamena, and the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, as the city of Abeche is about 1,000 kilometres (km) east of the Chadian capital.

With a total length of 95 km and a width of 10 metres, the road will be implemented over a period of 36 months, including the periods during which construction works will be halted due to heavy rain.
