EGX30 inches up at Tuesday's close; market cap rises EGP 2.4bn
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 888.07 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday’s trading session on a varied note amid foreign and Arab selloffs and local purchases.

The main EGX30 index edged up by 0.06% to end the mid-week session at 10,0263 points after it reached a 10-month low on Monday.

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 1.71% to 1,836 points, while the EGX100 EWI went down by 1.17% to 2,750 point.

Likewise, the EGX50 EWI fell by 1.11% to close at 1,925 points.

The market cap rose by EGP 2.4 billion to register EGP 637.895 billion.

Local investors were net buyers with EGP 54.8 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 45.39 million and EGP 9.45 million, respectively.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 888.07 million after 470.9 million shares were exchanged through about 36,340 transactions.
