Cairo – Mubasher: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced that the secure and smart documents complex inaugurated on Wednesday has been established at a cost of $1 billion, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported.
The project will support the country’s efforts in boosting digital transformation and combating corruption, El-Sisi added.
Spanning over an area of 570,000 square metres (sqm), the complex, the largest of its kind in the MENA region, is a major technology project for the issuance of highly secured documents.
It created about 4,200 direct jobs, along with 13,000 indirect jobs during the construction phase.
