Mubasher: SAL, a Saudi Arabia-based logistics company, has entered into a cargo ground handling agreement with Emirates SkyCargo, according to a press release on Wednesday.

The agreement is part of SAL's strategy to logistically enter into a partnership with airlines with a strong presence in the international arena.

SAL offers premium ground handling services to multiple airlines at Saudi Arabia’s local airports, in addition to logistic support with cargo chain solutions. 

Commenting on the agreement, Omar Hariri, SAL’s CEO, said: "We take pride in this partnership which will boost the traffic of goods into the Kingdom and also cargo from our domestic airports loaded into Emirates’ aircraft where we have placed all logistic capabilities and resources including equipment and manpower to serve our mutual strategic objectives."

Meanwhile, the Divisional Senior Vice President at Emirates, Nabil Sultan, remarked: "We are confident that our operations will run smoothly and seamlessly due to SAL’s unique handling capabilities, which will consequently, bolster trade and cargo operations between the two countries."
