Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Agthia Group has set a long-term strategy to become a food and beverage (F&B) leader in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) region and beyond by 2025.

Based on three strategic pillars comprising growth, efficiency, and capability, the strategy aims to provide significant value for all stakeholders and drive further profitability growth while focusing on consumers' demands, according to a press release on Monday.

To grow its businesses, the company will expand into value-add categories and drive margins improvement by 2025 by promoting the water category, protecting flour and feed categories, and shifting towards higher-margin categories.

In the meantime, Agthia will focus on the acquisition of companies with strong consumer brands.

The group also seeks AED 200 million savings by simplifying its existing and acquired businesses and improving operational optimisation, getting procurement leaner, and enhancing manufacturing and supply chain management.

The Chairman of Agthia Group, Khalifa Sultan Al Suwaidi, said: "We are assured that with the exceptional capabilities amongst the management team of the company, Agthia will create greater opportunities for its people, and set new benchmarks in the F&B industry."

Meanwhile, the CEO of Agthia, Alan Smith, remarked: "The effective integration of new businesses and the decisions we make in the near-term will also benefit us in the long-term."
