Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a positive note on the back of local purchases.
The main EGX30 index edged by 0.55% to close at 10,450 points, while the EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.7% to 1,969 points.
Likewise, the EGX100 EWI rose by 1.48% to 2,911 points, whereas the EGX50 EWI advanced by 1.56% to 2,029 points.
The market cap value grew by EGP 4.6 billion to close at EGP 653.209 billion.
Local investors were net buyers with EGP 38.82 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net sellers with EGP 25.58 million and EGP 13.23 million, respectively.
The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.23 billion after 543.32 million shares were exchanged through around 43,520 transactions.
