Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will send 30 tonnes of medical equipment and supplies to India to support its efforts against the coronavirus pandemic, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, said.

The aid shipment includes 300 oxygen cylinders, 20 ventilators, 100 medical beds, 20 electrocardiographs, 30 defibrillators, 50 infusion pumps, and 50 infusion syringes, the Spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Khaled Megahed, said in a statement.

On Saturday, India reported more than 400,000 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours and 3,523 new deaths, taking the death toll to 211,853.
