Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt will receive 1.7 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine next week from the COVID-19 Vaccines Global Access (COVAX) Facility next week, the Minister of Health, Hala Zayed, said.

Another shipment of 1.7 million doses will arrive by the end of May, in addition to Sinopharm vaccine, Zayed added in a statement on Wednesday.

Moreover, 1 million doses will be supplied in two shipments during May, along with 500,00 doses of Sinovac this week.

Egypt will also start manufacturing Sinovac vaccine locally following the supply of 1,400 litres of feedstock, enough to produce 2 million doses.
