Egypt’s annual core inflation falls to 3.3% in April – CBE
The monthly core CPI recorded 0.7% in April

Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s annual core inflation rate retreated to 3.3% in April, compared to 3.7% a month earlier, according to data released by the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE).

The monthly core consumer price index (CPI) recorded 0.7% in April, compared to 1% in the same month in 2020 and 0.5% in March 2021, the CBE said in a statement on Monday.

Earlier, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) revealed that the country’s headline inflation rate rose by 1.2% month-on-month (MoM) to 112.2 points in April.
