Riyadh – Mubasher: Seera Group has entered into a strategic partnership with travel and leisure booking platform Klook to enhance the digital transformation and growth of Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector, according to a press release on Monday.
Seera will be the exclusive partner of Klook in the Kingdom, and both will create a one-stop digital platform with end-to-end content and inventory management solutions while providing a choice of product offering for travellers to, from, and within Saudi Arabia.
The platform will showcase tours and activities operated by Seera’s integrated destination management company Discover Saudi.
CEO and Co-Founder of Klook, Ethan Lin, said: “While the pandemic has had devastating effects on many businesses, this partnership will help ensure that the Saudi tourism sector can be in the best position to capture growth when travel resumes.”
He added, “We’re excited to provide the Saudi travellers with access to Klook’s global network of travel and leisure offerings, connecting them to the best experiences across the world. With over 100,000 offerings in more than 400 destinations, Saudi travellers can soon access a world of hyper-local and authentic experiences right at their fingertips.”
Under the partnership that was announced at the Arabian Travel Market 2021 in Dubai, Klook will employ its technological strengths to empower and digitise tourism operators across the kingdom.
In a way to boost the tourism sector in Saudi Arabia, Seera signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) last year with the Tourism Development Fund to finance the development and construction of 1,000-room hotels nationwide.
