EGX ends Monday mixed
The market cap value dropped by EGP 527.08 million

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday’s trading session on a varied note amid foreign selloffs and local and Arab purchases.

The main EGX30 index fell by 0.87% to end at 10,674 points as the heavyweight Commercial International Bank-Egypt (CIB) slid by 3.81% to EGP 57.75.

Meanwhile, the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI climbed by 1.07% to 2,185 points, while the EGX100 EWI rose by 0.86% to 3,123 points.

Moreover, the EGX50 EWI increased by 1.03% to close at 2,130 points.

The market cap value dropped by EGP 527.08 million to register EGP 671.624 billion.

Local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 44.003 million and EGP 36.77 million, respectively, while foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 80.77 million.

The market’s turnover amounted to EGP 1.59 billion after 566.12 million shares were exchanged through around 54,060 transactions.
