Riyadh – Mubasher: Basic Chemical Industries Company (BCI) registered a net profit after Zakat and tax worth SAR 14.41 million during the first quarter (Q1) of 2021, down by 4% from SAR 15.07 million in the same period a year earlier.

Profit per share stood at SAR 0.32 million in Q1-21, compared to SAR 0.38 in Q1-20, according to the interim financial results.

BCI’s revenues shrank by 10.5% to SAR 126.1 million in Q1-21 from SAR 140.96 million in Q1-20.

On a quarterly basis, the net profit in Q1-21 was 9.5% higher than the SAR 13.15 million recorded in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2020.

Quarterly revenues increased by 11.6% in Q1-21 from SAR 112.98 million in Q4-20.
