ITFC launches first training programme for exporters entering African markets
Representatives of 50 Egyptian companies will participate in the programme

Cairo – Mubasher: The International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, launched the first training programme for exporters entitled "Entering African Markets" in Cairo in collaboration with the Egyptian Export Development Authority.

Representatives of 50 Egyptian companies will participate in the five-day programme, under the umbrella of Arab Africa Trade Bridges (AATB) Programme, ITFC said in a statement on Monday.

The programme was initiated through a workshop that aimed to educate exporters about market opportunities in Africa, followed by another workshop in Damietta in March of this year, which aimed to enhance the potential of young entrepreneurs and prioritise productive capacities to tap the financing and e-trade opportunities.”

It will help create an environment to address logistics, infrastructure, and transportation issues in the African market.

The Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry seeks to build a bridge of communication with African countries with the aim of supporting President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's initiative to increase Egyptian exports to $100 billion, said Hafez Hassan, Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry and Supervisor of the Foreign Trade Training Center.
