Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's E-Tax, a company affiliated with the Ministry of Finance and e-finance, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Microsoft to use artificial intelligence (AI) techniques in the tax system. 

The MoU will support the country's digital transformation efforts and enable E-Tax to strengthen its role in developing the basic capabilities for digital transformation for the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), Assistant Head of the authority, Rasha Abdel Aal, said in a statement on Tuesday. 

This will include electronic invoice projects and smart business reports with the aim of combating ​​tax fraud.
