In a joint press release,  Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) PQSC and Masraf AL Rayan Q.P.S.C (“MAR”) announced that pursuant to the Merger Agreement concluded on 7 January 2021, both parties have agreed to appoint Mr. Fahad Bin Abdalla Al Khalifa as Group Chief Executive Officer of the merged bank from the date the shareholders of both banks Al Rayan and Al Khaliji approve the merger and obtaining Qatar Central Bank final approval on the merger, subject to all necessary approvals on the appointment.
