EGX loses EGP 13.17bn in market cap at Tuesday's close
The market's turnover recorded EGP 1.11 billion

Cairo - Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday's trading session on a negative note, pressured by local and foreign selloffs. 

The main EGX30 index retreated by 1.87% to end the mid-week session at 10,154 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI fell by 2.49% to 2,292 points. 

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI declined by 2.52% to 3,229 points and the EGX50 EWI slid by 2.84% to 2,110 points. 

The market cap value slumped by EGP 13.17 billion to stand at EGP 657.170 billion. 

Foreign and local investors were net sellers with EGP 6.9 million and EGP 59.84 million, respectively, while Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 66.79 million.

The market's turnover recorded EGP 1.11 billion after 327.29 million shares were exchanged through about 42,400 transactions.
