Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt has made EGP 10 billion available for developing governorate capitals and major cities as part of the EGP 300 billion allocated for the "Housing for all Egyptians" initiative, the Executive Director of Informal Settlements Development Fund (ISDF), Khaled Siddiq, told Mubasher.

Work is underway in implementing 100,000 residential units in 13 governorates in the first phase of the project which will include 500,000 units, Siddiq added.

Earlier, Siddiq revealed that the allocated amount for the initiative has been raised to EGP 300 billion from EGP 250 billion for implementing 500,000 units over three years.
