Egypt's furniture exports hit $131.7m in H1-21
Saudi Arabia was the largest importer of Egypt's furniture products

Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's furniture exports increased by 38% year-on-year (YoY) to $131.742 million in the first half (H1) of 2021, compared to $95.309 million, the Middle East News Agency (MENA) cited a report by the Egyptian Furniture Export Council (EFEC).

The country's furniture exports rose by 17% to $23.717 million in January, 19% to $24.043 million in February, and 39% to $25.012 million in March. 

April witnessed the highest leap of 201% to $26.346 million, compared to $8.764 million in the same month in 2020. 

Furniture exports grew by 17% to $15.736 million in May and 16% to $16.887 million in June.

Saudi Arabia was the largest importer of Egypt's furniture products with a value of $33 million, while Iraq, the UAE, and Jordan made up $16 million, $17 million, and $10 million, respectively.
