Cairo - Mubasher: Egypt's imports from the US fell by 6.1% to $4.693 billion in 2020, compared to $4.999 billion in 2019, according to a report released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) on Wednesday.
Oilseeds and oleaginous fruits topped Egypt's imports from the US with a value of $1.523 billion last year, up by 33.2% from $1.144 billion in 2019.
Meanwhile, Egypt's exports to the US slid by 26.4% to $1.622 billion in 2020, compared to $2.205 billion a year earlier.
Ready-made garments had the largest share of Egypt's exports to the US with a value of $812.3 million last year, compared to $949 million in 2019.
