Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi National Bank (SNB) achieved net profits after Zakat and Tax worth SAR 5.52 billion in the first half (H1) of 2021, higher by 12% than SAR 4.92 billion in H1-20.

Earnings per share stood at SAR 1.41 in H1-21, compared to SAR 1.58 in H1-20, according to the financial results on Thursday.

Assets surged by 60.9% annually to SAR 896.42 billion in H1-21 from SAR 556.85 billion in H1-20.

Clients’ deposits increased by 54.6% to SAR 588.13 billion in the January-June 2021 period from SAR 380.39 billion in the same period last year.

In the second quarter (Q2) of 2021, the Saudi lender’s net profits grew 1.3% to SAR 2.11 billion from SAR 2.08 billion in Q2-20, while on a quarterly basis, the earnings shrank by 37.8% from SAR 3.4 billion.
