Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Sunday's trading session on a varied note amid local selloffs and foreign and Arab purchases.
The main EGX30 index fell by 0.17% to end at 11,036 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI rose by 1.35% to 2,845 points.
Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI advanced by 0.99% to 3,832 points and the EGX50 EWI added 0.29% to 2,372 points.
The market cap value retreated by EGP 2.5 billion to close at EGP 723.682 billion.
Local investors were net sellers with EGP 11.55 million, while foreign and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 5.16 million and EGP 6.38 million, respectively.
The market's turnover stood at EGP 867.9 million after 254.11 million shares were exchanged through about 35,590 transactions.
