Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday's trading session on a mixed note amid Arab purchases and local and foreign selloffs. 

The main EGX30 index rose by 0.43% to end the mid-week session at 11,187 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI retreated by 0.33% to 2,904 points. 

Meanwhile, the EGX100 EWI stabilised at 3,910 points, whereas the EGX50 rose by 0.71% to 2,454 points. 

The market cap value grew by EGP 2.59 billion to close at EGP 733.71 billion on Tuesday, compared to EGP 731.11 billion on Monday. 

The market's turnover registered EGP 1.76 billion after 666.6 million shares were exchanged through about 58,320 transactions. 

Local and foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 6.38 million and EGP 11.59 million, respectively, while Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 17.97 million.
