UAE – Mubasher: The consumer price index (CPI) of the UAE went up 0.51% in June this year, compared to the same month in 2020, according to official data.

On a monthly basis, the inflation was up 0.19% in June compared to May.

Four main baskets led the UAE’s inflation in June, including the food and beverage which rose by 0.38%, home appliances with 0.17%, transport services with 1.11%, and hotel and restaurants with 0.62%.

Housing, water, electricity, and gas prices declined by 0.16% in June, while the clothes basket fell by 0.06%, the telecom by 0.01%, entertainment and culture by 0.12%, and goods and diversified services by 0.14%.

Education, health services, and tobacco prices were stable in June.
