UAE - Mubasher: Dubai recorded a 54% rise in the number of issued licenses to 5,885 in August 2021, compared to 3,829 in the year-ago period.

A higher number of issued licenses proves the ease of doing business in the UAE and the measures taken by the government to ensure business continuity and facilitate procedures for businesses, as shown by a report by the Business Registration and Licensing sector of Dubai Economy.

A total of 59% and 40% of the new licenses issued in August were professional and commercial, respectively.

As for the legal forms of the new licenses, sole establishment companies have led the list with 38%, followed by civil companies and limited liability companies with 23.5% each.

Investors are able to obtain any trade license through 'Invest in Dubai,' the first integrated digital business set-up platform.
