UAE - Mubasher: The UAE's trade surplus with the Arab countries amounted to around AED 1.3 billion in 2020, according to the latest statistics by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Authority (FCSA).
The recorded trade surplus is driven by the UAE's non-oil exports valued at around AED 78.24 billion, against AED 76.71 billion imports and AED 175.95 billion re-exports.
The total value of trade between the UAE and Arab countries reached about AED 330.68 billion, representing 24% of the UAE's total trade.
Gold ore led the UAE's exports to the Arab countries with AED 8.57 billion in 2020, followed by cigarettes with AED 7.2 billion and copper with AED 4.06 billion.
Meanwhile, the country's imports were topped by gold ore with AED 23.3 billion.
