DFM closes Thursday lower, ADX rises

UAE – Mubasher: The benchmark index of Dubai Financial Market (DFM) fell by 4.26 points (0.15%) on Thursday to close at 2,839.57 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 110.62 million through the trading of 54.62 million shares.

Takaful Emarat was the top riser with 8.52%, while National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) led the fallers with 3.42%.

Emaar registered the highest trading value of AED 32.71 million, while Union Properties was the most active stock on which 8.29 million shares were exchanged.

On the other hand, the main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended the session 0.55% higher at 7,824.793 points.

The trading value stood at AED 1.35 billion through the exchange of 168.41 million shares.

Gulf Cement advanced the risers with 9.08%, while Sharjah Cement led the fallers with 2.73%.

UAE lender FAB recorded the highest turnover of AED 352.11 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock on which 61.25 million shares were traded.
