EGX ends Tuesday in red; market cap loses EGP 2.8bn
The market's turnover reached EGP 1.23 billion

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Tuesday's trading session in the red territory amid local selloffs.

The main EGX30 index fell by 0.47% to end at 10,446 points, while the small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI dropped by 0.52% to 2,709 points.

Likewise, the EGX100 EWI retreated by 0.54% to 3,640 points and the EGX50 EWI declined by 0.51% to 2,294 points.

The market cap value decreased by EGP 2.86 billion to stand at EGP 698.22 billion.

Local investors were net sellers with EGP 63.81 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers with EGP 28.53 million and EGP 35.28 million, respectively.

The market's turnover reached EGP 1.23 billion after 449.64 million shares were exchanged through around 39,830 transactions.
