Dubai – Mubasher: GFH Financial Group has appointed Tariq Al Samahiji as the CEO of the company's operations in the UK effective immediately.

With experience in the global banking sector across asset management, capital markets, Islamic finance, and credit, Al Samahiji will enable the company to expand its international presence, according to a press release on Wednesday.

Previously, Al Samahiji was the co-founder of Orpheus Partner and the CEO of BNP Paribas Najmah and Global Head of BNP Paribas Islamic Finance and Investments.

It is noteworthy to mention that in December 2020, GFH acquired a majority stake in the UK-based Roebuck Asset Management to expand its businesses in the UK and European logistics real estate sector.

GFH is listed on Bahrain Bourse (BHB), Boursa Kuwait, and the Dubai Financial Market (DFM).
