Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 2.840 billion in customs duties, taxes, and charges at Port Said during September.

The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said reached EGP 504.263 million during the ninth month of 2021, according to a statement by the Ministry of Finance on Sunday.

Additionally, the value-added taxes (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 2.336 billion during the month, the statement showed.

The imported goods included strategic goods and general cargo such as wheat, legumes, maize, cars, spare parts, cars, and production inputs.

The port also exported goods worth EGP 2.151 billion and charged EGP 669,436 for these exports.
