UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has ranked the first in the MENA region and 17th globally in the 'Quality of Life Index', as shown by the Expat Insider 2021 survey published by Germany-based InterNations, specialised in evaluating the quality of living across the world's countries.

In 2021, the Expat Insider survey assesses 59 countries and territories, based on a minimum of 50 respondents each.

The overall Expat Insider 2021 ranking includes four topical indices: the best and worst places for expats, quality of life, ease of settling, working abroad, and personal finance and cost of living.

The Quality of Life Index covers 20 factors from seven different subcategories, comprising leisure options, health and well-being, safety and security, personal happiness, travel and transportation, digital life, and quality of the environment.

The UAE has been placed in the third and seventh positions in terms of the safety and security and travel and transportation subcategories, respectively. 

Meanwhile, the country has ranked 23rd in the digital life subcategory, 27th in health and well-being, and 39th in personal happiness.
