EGX loses over EGP 8bn in market cap at Monday's close
e-finance's stock plunged by 8.42% to EGP 21.22

Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) closed Monday's trading session on a negative note.

The main EGX30 index fell by 0.07% to end at 11,178 points after the heavyweight Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose by 2.05% to EGP 48.4 and e-finance plunged by 8.42% to EGP 21.22. 

The small- and mid-cap EGX70 EWI declined by 3.6% to 2,345 points, while the EGX100 EWI dropped by 2.8% to 3,323 points and the EGX50 EWI retreated by 3.09%% to end at 2,124 points.

The market cap lost EGP 8.09 billion to close at EGP 741.982 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers with EGP 160.26 million, while local and Arab investors were net buyers with EGP 155.28 million and EGP 4.9 million, respectively.
