Aramco’s profits leap 158% in Q3; dividends announced

Riyadh – Mubasher: The Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) recorded a surge of 158% year-on-year (YoY) in net profits after Zakat and tax to SAR 114.09 billion during the third quarter (Q3) of 2021 from SAR 44.21 billion.

Revenues soared by 79.5% YoY to SAR 359.09 billion in Q3-21 from SAR 200.06 billion, according to the financial results on Sunday.

On a quarterly basis, the profits were 19.5% higher than SAR 95.47 billion in Q2-21, and the revenues grew by 14.9% from SAR 312.35 billion.

During the first nine months of 2021, Aramco achieved an increase of 121.6% YoY in net profits to SAR 291 billion from SAR 131.31 billion.

Earnings per share stood at SAR 1.39 at the end of September 2021 from SAR 0.67 in the same period last year.

Revenues grew by 71.9% YoY to SAR 943.52 billion in January-September 2021 from SAR 548.86 billion.

In a separate disclosure, Aramco announced a cash dividend worth SAR 0.3518 per share to the eligible shareholders for Q3-21.

The company will pay a total of SAR 70.33 billion ($18.76 billion) for 199.9 billion eligible shares.

Aramco said the eligibility and distribution dates will be on 4 and 22 November, respectively.
