Dubai plans to list ten state-owned companies on the DFM

UAE - Mubasher: Dubai plans to list ten government and state-owned companies on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and double the stock market size to AED 3 trillion, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

This announcement was made during the first meeting of the Securities and Exchange Higher Committee chaired Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance of the UAE.

During the meeting, an AED 2 billion market-making fund was launched to raise liquidity in the markets, alongside an AED 1 billion fund to encourage technology companies for the initial public offerings (IPOs).

In addition, the Committee approved the formation of the Dubai Markets Supervisory Committee and two specialised courts within the Commercial Court to settle securities disputes.
