Cairo – Mubasher: Misr Fertilizers Production Company (Mopco) recorded standalone net profits of EGP 1.03 billion in the first nine months of 2021, up by 43% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 725.14 million, the unaudited financial results showed. 

The sales rose to EGP 2.29 billion in the January-September period of 2021, compared to EGP 1.67 billion in the prior-year period, the company said in a bourse disclosure on Monday. 

The profit growth was ascribed to the increase in the price of urea. 

In the first half (H1) of 2021, the company reported consolidated net profits of EGP 2.17 billion, up from EGP 1.18 billion in H1-20. 

The standalone net profits grew to EGP 655.49 million in the January-June period, compared to EGP 565.38 million in the same period in 2020.
