Cairo – Mubasher: Eastern Company reported net profits of EGP 1.598 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of fiscal year (FY) 2021/2022, up by 37.7% year-on-year (YoY) from EGP 1.16 billion. 

The revenues increased to EGP 4.31 billion in the three-month period ended 30 September from EGP 3.95 billion in the prior-year period, according to a bourse disclosure on Monday. 

In FY20/21, the tobacco manufacturer logged net profits of EGP 4.28 billion, up from EGP 3.79 billion a year earlier.
