Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi Arabia will debut its first-ever Future Minerals Forum during 11-13 January 2022 in the capital Riyadh, the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources announced on Wednesday.

A ministerial roundtable before the forum will bring together ministerial representatives from 25 countries for discussions and opportunities across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa regions while shaping a new era of mining.

The three-day event will witness the presence of global mining expert speakers from the public and private sectors, investors, and multilateral organisations.

Ministers and over 50 world-class speakers in the fields of mining, investment, technology, manufacturing and sustainability will attend the fourm.

Saudi Arabia’s Vice-Minister of Mining Affairs, Khalid Al Mudaifer, said: "Our ambition is to shape the future of mining and find solutions to industry challenges such as securing supply of future critical minerals."

The forum themes will be Mining's Contribution to Society, Reimagining Mining, and Lands of Opportunity; all developed to meet sustainability amid the increasing demand for technologies like electric vehicles, solar panels, and wind turbines.

It is worth noting that Al Mudaifer will be representing Saudi Arabia at the Mines and Money Conference in London, which is taking place on 1-2 December.
