UAE - Mubasher: The UAE has hosted the meeting of the Finance and Investment Committee of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council to highlight topics related to financial and economic cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Held at the Partners Building at Expo 2020 Dubai, the meeting aims to focus on the strategic initiatives across various fields, including financial services and markets, entrepreneurship support, and customs cooperation, and ways to implement them as per the approved plans, according to a recent press release.

The Finance and Investment Committee's initiatives include mechanisms to facilitate the flow of traffic at ports, issue and use a virtual experimental electronic currency, and enable the branches of both countries' banks to improve their business.

The Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance, Younis Haji Al Khoori, said: "The UAE is keen to strengthen the strategic partnership and bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the financial, economic, and investment fields, in order to achieve their common vision, ensure the continuation of development, progress, prosperity for their peoples, and build a more sustainable future for generations to come."
