Cairo – Mubasher: Egypt’s flag carrier EgyptAir will operate its first green service flight on Saturday, 22 January, which will head to Paris.

Flight no. 799 will be the first-of-kind green trip by an airlines company in Africa, EgyptAir said in an official statement.

Environment-friendly services and products will be used aboard this flight, in a bid to reduce air pollution and increase awareness of relying on single-use plastic materials.

EgyptAir said it has replaced 27 single-use plastic products that were being used on board with eco-friendly items.

The Egyptian airlines company will be offering a 40% discount on the ticket price of this Cairo-Paris flight.
