Cairo – Mubasher: Lafarge Egypt, a member of Holcim Group, has appointed Jimmy Khan as the new CEO of the company.

Khan, who succeeded Solomon Baumgartner Aviles, has been working for the group over the past 18 years, according to a press release on Tuesday.

The new official was named as the CEO of Lafarge Mauritius and Seychelles in 2015. Later, he became the CEO of Lafarge Zambia in 2018.

Moreover, Khan had served as the Business Processes Manager of Lafarge Nigeria from 2013 until 2015.

Last May, Lafarge Egypt signed a $93 million deal with Lumika Renewables Egypt, a subsidiary of AP Moller Egypt, to supply electricity through solar cells.
