Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) has auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at a total value of EGP 4.50 billion through two issues on Monday, 1 August.
The first tranche was valued at EGP 4 billion, holding a tenor of three years until 5 July 2025, according to official data.
The second offering stood at EGP 500 million, carrying a seven-year maturity period until 5 July 2029.
In addition, the CBE issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7 billion through one auction, which will mature on 30 January 2024.
Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bonds at an aggregated value of EGP 1.25 billion through two offerings and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 7.50 billion through one issue.
