Cairo – Mubasher: The customs authority of Dekheila Port collected a total of EGP 1.70 billion in taxes, customs duties, and other charges at El Dekheila Port in October 2022, Akhbar El-Yom reported.

The authority issued 6,268 final import clearance letters at the port last month for general goods and strategic commodities, including wheat, sugar, soybeans, corn, and others.

The total value of customs duties collected for imported goods stood at EGP 275.67 million, whilst the value-added tax and other fees imposed on them amounted to EGP 1.87 billion and EGP 342.15 million, respectively.

In the meantime, the port exported goods that include aluminum, food products, stainless steel, and marble at a total value of EGP 5.74 billion. Charges collected for the exported goods reached EGP 360,000.
