Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bonds (T-bonds) at an aggregated value of EGP 7.25 billion through two issues on Monday, 7 November.
Holding a seven-year tenor until 7 May 2029, the first tranche stood at EGP 250 million, according to official data.
The second offering was valued at EGP 7 billion and will mature in three years on 1 November 2025.
Additionally, the CBE issued zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 5.50 billion through one auction, carrying a maturity period of 1.5 years until 7 May 2024.
Last week, the central bank auctioned T-bonds at a value of EGP 7.50 billion through one tranche and zero-coupon T-bonds worth EGP 6 billion through one offering.
