UAE stock markets end Wednesday’s trading session lower

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) closed Wednesday’s trading session in the red zone at 3,344.31 points after losing 29.56 points (0.87%).

A total of 211.30 million shares were exchanged during the session at a value of AED 401.54 million.

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), which topped the risers with 2.20%, dominated the trading volume with 50.79 million shares.

Emaar Properties registered the highest turnover of AED 89.44 million. Meanwhile, Dar Al Takaful headed the decliners with 7.98%.

Similarly, the benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended the session down by 0.424% at 10,458.39 points.

The turnover amounted to AED 1.88 billion through the exchange of 430.86 million shares, while the market cap reached AED 2.51 trillion.

National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels (NCTH) advanced the gainers with 9.65%, while Fujairah Building Industries led the losers with 10%.

Emirates Steel Arkan was the most active stock in terms of trading volume and value with 166.85 million shares exchanged at AED 319.43 million.
