DFM, ADX close Thursday with negative performance

UAE – Mubasher: The main index of the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Thursday’s trading session lower by 10.77 points (0.32%) at 3,333.54 points.

The turnover reached AED 470.86 million through the exchange of 371.97 million shares.

Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) registered the highest turnover of AED 81.51 million, while Gulf Navigation Holding (GNH) was the most active stock on which 72.53 million shares were traded.

Orascom Construction led the decliners with 6.25%, whereas Dubai Islamic Insurance and Reinsurance Company (Aman) topped the gainers with 9.49%.

The benchmark index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) also levelled down by 0.659% and closed the session in the red zone at 10,389.42 points. 

A total of 547.03 million shares were exchanged at a value of AED 1.97 billion. The market cap amounted to AED 2.53 trillion.

Union Insurance Company headed the fallers with 10%, while United Arab Bank (UAB) advanced the risers with 14.06%.

Abu Dhabi National Energy (TAQA) generated the highest turnover of AED 310.32 million, whereas Emirates Steel Arkan dominated the trading volume with 125.58 million shares.
