Cairo – Mubasher: Capgemini, a France-based firm specialised in consulting, technology services, and digital transformation, appointed Hossam Seif Eldin as its CEO in Egypt.

Seif Eldin will lead the group’s latest Global Delivery Center team of experts while focusing on Europe and the Middle East region, according to a press release

Capgemini established the centre in Egypt to meet the increasing demands for its offerings in cloud infrastructure services, intelligent operations, engineering, research and development, data, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Before joining Capgemini, the new official worked for 27 years in the International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), where he assumed multiple leadership roles across different business units and geographies.

In 2013, IBM named Seif Eldin as its Vice President for the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Ain Shams University in Cairo, in addition to a Diploma in Management from Henley University in the UK.

Aiman Ezzat, CEO of the Capgemini Group, said: “He [Hossam] is an accomplished business leader and technologist, with a strong track record in building and leading new organizations as well as ensuring delivery excellence.”

Seif Eldin noted: “The work that we are undertaking for clients spans the fast-evolving fields of cloud, data and AI, connectivity, software, digital engineering, and platforms. The rich talent pool in Egypt has a well-matched skill set.”

He added: “I am really looking forward to growing our portfolio of services and welcoming new team members to Capgemini, from graduates and developers through to data scientists and engineers.”
